Here is an amazing album review written by Jordan Reece.
Reverberant tribal chants and nuanced environmental aromatics. Powerfully aligning towards a humanized pulse. Hazy clouds cover the skies and the emotive cries of eagles soaring through the chill mist. The eventual revelation of listener’s spirit animal(s). A thunderous war drum rally-call to all the head nodders out there. Eyes down and devices stowed during takeoff and landing please. Palpably obtuse angles strike in disjointed yet seamless way in this deep and dark salute to the rootsy sounds of dubstep and garage. Silky smooth and breathtaking aquatronica. Twinkling closed eye visuals and other bass induced episodic side effects. As though you heard someone called your name in Shpongolese but you’re lost in the crowd and the drugs just kicked in. Swimming in a beautiful ocean of faceless reflections. Rimshots that would make even your mother cry out. Dance-floor turns to lava from the molten ferocity of this heater. The seismic rumblings at the inner core of an unknown entity. The dim glow of the ferryman’s lantern swaying as the listener crosses over the threshold. The hooded dub warrior walks the lonely path to enlightenment. These are his stories. These are his bass chops. A slow leak becomes a swift river. Bass-lines flow like the first rains, connecting pools of critically spun out beats to once again journey upstream to their ancestral breeding grounds. Shameless display of finely cut neural bass work for all to witness. Clearly a law is being broken
somewhere.
